Natasha is a successful young acupuncturist. She runs her own clinic and is loved by her patients. But her personal life is lonely and empty, a fact that becomes painfully clear when her boyfriend coldly rejects her. Reeling from the pain while driving through tears, she collides with a large truck. Natasha is injured and found to be at fault.

The driver of the truck, an elderly foreign man, learns that Natasha has no one to take care of her. Being the father of two daughters, he is concerned about Natasha's situation and decides to stay and take care of her while she recovers. This unexpected set of circumstances begins a friendship that opens Natasha's eyes to a part of life she has been missing.
